WWE Raw notes: GUNTHER & Lyra Valkyria advance in KOTR/QOTR tourneys, Bron Breakker goes off, Xavier Woods cleared

Both GUNTHER and Lyra Valkyria have advanced to the finals of their respective King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. GUNTHER submitted Jey Uso to advance and he’ll be facing either Randy Orton or Tama Tonga in the finals. As for Valkyria, she picked up a win over IYO SKY and she’ll meet either Nia Jax or Bianca Belair.

NXT’s Kale Dixon was on the losing end of a match against Bron Breakker via referee stoppage. Breakker speared him again post-match and referees along with producers tried to stop him. Bron would take a chair to the back of Dixon’s head as it was up against the ring steps. Bron told Raw General Manager Adam Pearce that he cannot be controlled and cited not being in the King of the Ring tournament as why he’s lashing out. Later in the show, Breakker speared Ricochet as he was confronting Ilja Dragunov.

Xavier Woods is cleared for in-ring action. He was approached by Karrion Kross and Scarlett after finding out the news. Kross approached Kofi Kingston after Kingston lost his King of the Ring quarterfinal match.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest approached Carlito about Carlito’s attack on LWO’s Cruz Del Toro. Priest said the word is that he’ll be out of action for a while.

Awesome Truth (R-Truth & The Miz) retained their World Tag Team Titles over J.D. McDonagh and Finn Bálor. Carlito tried to assist Bálor and McDonagh but Braun Strowman evened the numbers. Earlier in the night, Truth said that ‘André the Giant’ had his back.

During Chad Gable’s singles match against WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, he sent Alpha Academy’s Maxxine Dupri and Akira Tozawa to the backstage area because they were not willing to help him cheat to get the win. Otis was slapped by Gable at ringside but he still decided to help Gable get the win. Otis would apologize to Zayn later in the show.

There was a four-way tag that saw Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark best the teams of: Kayden Carter and Katana Chance, Maxxine Dupri and Ivy Nile and Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane. Baszler and Stark secured a Women’s Tag Title opportunity and as a backstage interview was going on, they could be seen talking to the returning Sonya Deville.
