** Come June, Sidney Bateman a.k.a. SCRYPTS/Reggie/Reginald will be a free agent as WWE is opting not to renew his contract. He was interviewed by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp and looked back on his time as Carmella’s sommelier. He stated that the role was supposed to be a one-shot and then he’d be moved to 205 Live. He ended up becoming a full-time character on the main roster.

I said, ‘Oh, sommelier. This is French-ties or whatever. I speak French. Let’s put the French accent on, let’s do this…’ It’s like layers after layers after layers and then next thing you know, this was a character on SmackDown and it was insane. No creative plans on NXT or nothing. I did get word that they were gonna put me on 205 Live, but that was like weeks and months into me doing the sommelier character. They said, ‘Once it’s done, we’ll put you on 205 Live.’ I’m like, ‘Great.’ But then the sommelier character became more and more and more. I’m just like, what am I to do? I love it.

** As Rey Mysterio’s appearance on Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson’s JAXXON PODCAST moved along, they touched on Mysterio’s time in WCW, specifically as a member of the No Limit Soldiers with Master P and their feud with The West Texas Rednecks.

Curt Hennig, Barry Windham, and rap was so big during that era that they wanted to do a contrast and see how it would work out. I believe it was Konnan and somebody else that kind of pitched the idea of what if we do a feud — Curt Hennig, to me, one of the greatest to ever step in the ring, God rest his soul. But, it all came about just because of the differences, country and rap, let’s hit it off, let’s see what happens here.

He (Master P) never wrestled. The name was just behind the group. He had a bunch of his crew that wanted to break into wrestling. That was another thing that was brought up. The fact that he had two of his bodyguards that wanted to break into wrestling so that was kind of the introduction through Master P.

** Guest appearing on Piers Austin’s platform was Brady Booker f.k.a. Bodhi Hayward in NXT. Booker trains at the Nightmare Factory and shared that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes still appears at the school once a week.

Then the Nightmare Factory, I’ve gotten to meet Cody (Rhodes) a couple of times. He’s in there once a week though, talk about the WWE Champion. Dude on top of a mountain and he’s still able to make it into his school once a week? What a stud dude…

** Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel and Will Friedle welcomed Bruce Prichard onto Pod Meets World. When asked to name a talent who is currently or will be a household name, Prichard named Cody Rhodes for the present and when it comes to the future, he selected Bron Breakker and NXT Champion Trick Williams.

Well, I mean obviously, I’ve gotta go with Cody Rhodes right now who is just absolutely red-hot (as someone you should put your money on to be a household name). When you look down that pipeline and you look to the future, 10 years from now, I look at guys like Bron Breakker and Trick Williams that are going to be those stars that are gonna be the ones that everyone is talking about, and (they’ll) be built around. They’ve got that ‘it.’

** As RDP Promotions was hosting a virtual signing with Maria Kanellis-Bennett, she stated that she has a new song she’ll be releasing and recently sang it while on Ring of Honor programming.

I do have a song coming out. I don’t know when I’m going to gift it to the baby boys but, I do have a new song coming out. I sang a little bit of it on Ring of Honor.
