Roxanne Perez is going to be defending her NXT Women’s Championship at the Battleground P.L.E. on June 9th. NXT General Manager Ava said she talked to Raw G.M. Adam Pearce and SmackDown G.M. Nick Aldis about the upcoming match and the decision is official.

There are updates in the field for the Women’s North American Championship Ladder match at Battleground. Fallon Henley picked up a win over Thea Hail to advance. Post-match, Hail was ambushed by Jazmyn Nyx. In another qualifier, Jaida Parker defeated Brinley Reece. Henley and Parker have joined Sol Ruca and Lash Legend as participants in the upcoming Ladder match. There are two spots remaining and those will be determined via the following matchups:

  • Michin vs. Tatum Paxley
  • Kelani Jordan vs. Wren Sinclair

WWE is officially promoting rapper Sexyy Red for the 5/28 episode of NXT.

Axiom and Nathan Frazer put the NXT Tag Team Championships on the line against The Family’s Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino. During the bout, No Quarter Catch Crew (Charlie Dempsey, Damon Kemp & Myles Borne) ambushed Tony D’Angelo. Frazer took advantage of the distraction and retained the titles for himself and Axiom. Afterwards, the champions were taken out by Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

As NXT Champion Trick Williams was being confronted by Meta-Four’s Jakara Jackson, Oro Mensah and Lash Legend, he was further accused of being the individual who ‘ambushed’ Noam Dar on 5/14. Lash continued to defended Williams against that. Joe Coffey would make his way out to the stage area and from behind, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang went after Trick. Je’Von Evans came out to make the save, but Gallus had the numbers game. Joe Coffey is challenging for the North American Title at Battleground. On 5/28, it’ll be Williams and Evans versus Mark Coffey and Wolfgang.
