Ricochet’s first title fight as WWE Speed Champion is set.
He will put his title on the line against Tyler Bate on a Friday edition of the web series, as revealed Wednesday.
Bate fought through a four-man tournament to get a shot against Ricochet, defeating Berto and Apollo Crews in recent weeks. He’ll now be the first one to challenge Ricochet, who earned his title last month after overcoming Johnny Gargano in the finale of the show’s debut bracket.
Over the past two months, WWE Speed is a web series hosted on X (formerly known as Twitter), with episodes premiering in the afternoon. The show, which is taped at Raw and Smackdown events, sees wrestlers compete in matchups with five-minute time limits. The show works at a similarly fast pace to the matches, not having any real intro, entrances, or segments that aren’t matches.
The match that will air Friday is Ricochet’s fifth appearance on the show through 10 episodes.
