Nia Jax becomes Queen of the Ring, earns WWE Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam

Nia Jax defeated Lyra Valkyria in the Queen of the Ring tournament finals in Saudi Arabia to bag a shot at the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2024.

Despite her loss, Valkyria’s rapid ascent since her call-up to the main roster in the WWE Draft was cemented in front of a lively crowd who seemed firmly on her side.

After a competitive match, Jax hit the Annihilator for the win.

As noted by Michael Cole on commentary, this was the first time the two had ever faced each other in the ring.

SummerSlam is set for Saturday, August 3^rd, 2024, at Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.

Jax will challenge for the WWE Women’s Championship, which is currently held by Bayley.
