MJF returns at Double or Nothing, shows off AEW logo tattoo & says he’s not leaving the company

MJF makes his return to AEW.

To close out 2023 for AEW, the company presented their Worlds End pay-per-view and the end of it featured MJF losing the AEW World Championship to Samoa Joe in addition to the revelation that Adam Cole is ‘The Devil’ that was targeting MJF.

With that came the formation of Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Wardlow, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett). MJF had not appeared on AEW programming since then.

After the opening match of the 2024 Double or Nothing pay-per-view, Adam Cole come out to the ring and as he was about to do his ‘Adam Cole Bay Bay’ sign-off, MJF made his return. He gave Cole a hug and then low blowed him. The former World Champion grabbed a microphone and said he’s never trusting anyone again because of Cole.

He added that-that situation reminded him exactly who he is. MJF said unlike Cole and everyone else in the locker room, he doesn’t need a New Japan or a Vince McMahon because he is self-made. The jokey-version of himself is done with. He proceeded to drop an elbow and spit on The Devil mask and tossed it in the audience.

As for his contract status, he showed a lower leg tattoo of an AEW logo with the words ‘bet on yourself’ around it. He stated that he’s not leaving.
