After more than a year outside of the ring, Tay Melo is beginning to drop hints about when she could be back in action.
Melo, an AEW wrestler since 2020, hasn’t wrestled since early last year when it was announced that her and Sammy Guevara were expecting their first child. In November 2023, Melo gave birth to her daughter.
In a recent social media exchange, Melo described recently dreaming of wrestling and mentioned when she is expecting to be able to start training once again.
“I had a dream I was taking my first bump after [having my] baby,” Melo wrote. “Not fun lol. I’m not allowed to bump yet tho.”
In reply to a fan who said they missed seeing Melo on TV, she replied: “A couple more months until I’m cleared.”
While Melo expects to be cleared in two months, that doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing her on TV that soon. As mentioned in her posts, she hasn’t been cleared to even train or even take her first bump yet and might need some time to get ready before hitting the ring once again.
Melo’s last AEW match was a street fight tag team match, losing to Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale alongside Anna Jay AS.
