The Elite wins Anarchy in the Arena at AEW Double or Nothing

The Elite emerges victorious from Anarchy in the Arena.

Headlining AEW’s 2024 Double or Nothing pay-per-view was the Anarchy in the Arena match. The Elite (Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, Jack Perry & Kazuchika Okada) took on Team AEW (Bryan Danielson, Darby Allin, Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler).

At the beginning of the match, the theme playing over the arena system went from Darby’s music to The Young Bucks’ music to Europe’s Final Countdown. Matthew got on the microphone and said cut the song off because it costs around $200,000 every loop.

Other highlights from the match includes Jack Perry driving a bus with ‘scapegoat’ written across it and he drove over a pile and it is assumed that Allin was in that pile. In April, Allin was hit by a bus in New York City. Darby eventually made his way back to the match.

While Perry was heading back to the entrance ramp, he snatched AEW President Tony Khan up from Gorilla Position and dragged him to the stage area. When he threw Tony down the ramp, Darby came out with a flamethrower and set Perry’s legs on fire.

Elsewhere in the bout, Matthew hit Dax over the head with an exploding chair. The Elite tied Darby’s ankles with rope and connected him to a cord that came down from the ceiling. They hung him upside down and superkicked him with their signature shoes that had thumbtacks at the bottom of them.

Danielson took Matthew’s shoe off his foot and took out The Young Bucks. As he was trying to help Allin who was hanging upside down, Jack Perry connected with a knee strike and pinned Danielson for the win.
