Following the news of Adam Copeland’s brutal injury, what will happen with AEW’s TNT Championship that he has held in recent months?

We’ll likely find out on Wednesday evening, as Matthew and Nick Jackson are expected to “Address the future of the TNT Championship,” per an announcement made this afternoon.

News broke Tuesday that Copeland suffered a fractured tibia during his Double or Nothing match over the weekend against Malakai Black. He said the injury will require surgery, putting the future of his title reign in doubt.

Copeland has held the TNT title for 70 days since earning it against Christian Cage in a March episode of Dynamite. He has been quite active since gaining the belt, defending it a total of six times over the past two months.

The Young Bucks, who are currently billed as “The EVPs,” might be setting themselves up to earn more gold with their potential move. The Elite currently holds the World Tag Team Championships along with the AEW Continental Championship.

Here’s an updated look at tonight’s AEW lineup:

  • Casino Gauntlet with the winner challenging AEW World Champion at Forbidden Door
  • “TV Time” with The Learning Tree Chris Jericho
  • Swerve Strickland vs. Killswitch
  • Mariah May vs. Saraya
  • Don Callis presents a contract to Orange Cassidy
