Missy Hyatt has disclosed that she had her own incident involving Vince McMahon several decades ago during her brief stint with the WWF.

Hyatt (real name Melissa Hiatt) did a pair of interviews over the past week with WSI (Wrestling Shoot Interviews) and Café de Rene, describing McMahon attempting to kiss her in a hotel room in 1987.

In early 1987, Hyatt was brought in for a series of segments dubbed “Missy’s Manor”, which they filmed at various tapings, but ultimately, never made it to television with Hyatt noting that the segments were “so horrible” and weren’t a good fit for her character. This coincided with WWF attempting to fill the void left by Piper’s Pit following Roddy Piper wrapping up at that year’s WrestleMania.

In the interview with WSI, Hyatt recalled a night in Las Vegas after taping the first segment of Missy’s Manor and going out to dinner with McMahon and a large group of people.

In Hyatt’s 2001 book, she noted Dick Ebersol being among them and added that Gene Okerlund was also there.

Later that night, Hyatt said, “I had to push Vince out of my hotel room” as he was trying to “stick his tongue in my mouth”. Hyatt noted she was engaged at the time (to Eddie Gilbert; they married in October 1987) and wasn’t going to cheat on her partner.

In her book, Hyatt did not disclose the incident at the hotel room but was complimentary of McMahon during her brief tenure.

Hyatt taped segments of Missy’s Manor on March 21 in Las Vegas, March 22 in Phoenix, and April 23 in Worcester, according to History of WWE.

Hyatt said that after turning down McMahon’s advance, she was offered a smaller role as a “Federette”, which was a group of on-screen female performers, who brought wrestlers’ ring jackets to the back. Hyatt was not interested in the role and left.

In both interviews that Hyatt recently did, she stated she had spoken to the lawyer of Janel Grant and offered to be a witness to describe McMahon’s behavior.

Hyatt’s alleged incident would have taken place approximately eight months after the allegation by former referee Rita Chatterton that she was raped by McMahon inside of a limousine. Earlier this year, McMahon settled with Chatterton.

POST Wrestling has reached out to Janel Grant’s representation for comment regarding Hyatt contacting them.
