Sami Zayn agrees to defend Intercontinental Title against Chad Gable at WWE Clash at the Castle

Chad Gable is getting his rematch for the title at the next main roster PLE.

As the 6/3 edition of Monday Night Raw was underway, WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn agreed to give Chad Gable a rematch for the title at Clash at the Castle in Scotland.

That came about as Alpha Academy members Maxxine Dupri, Akira Tozawa and Otis came out to the ring to address Zayn on behalf of Gable. He sent them out with a note and Maxxine read said note, which was a paragraph talking down about Alpha Academy members.

Gable jumped Zayn from behind. That led to Gable putting his hands on Otis again and this go-round, Tozawa stepped in to prevent Gable from being in Otis’ face. Gable would go on to make Dupri get on her knees and beg for him to stop.

Then came the point when Otis stepped in front of Dupri and Tozawa. Gable ran Sami into the back of Otis which sent Dupri and Tozawa off the ring apron. Otis went on to powerslam Zayn.

As of this writing, here’s the updated match card for Clash at the Castle:

  • WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Damian Priest (c) vs. Drew McIntyre
  • WWE Women’s Championship: Bayley (c) vs. Piper Niven
  • WWE Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable
