It was a good time for Joe.

From AEW Worlds End up until AEW Dynasty, Samoa Joe reigned as the company’s World Champion. Throughout his run, Joe had four defenses and the final one was his loss to Swerve Strickland

As Joe was speaking to Dave LaGreca on Busted Open, he reflected on his AEW World Title run and said he’s looking forward to getting back to that position.

I mean, obviously it’s always a tremendous honor whenever you’re carrying the Heavyweight Championship or the World Championship, and I took it as such (Joe said about being AEW World Champion). Any time that I’ve been given the opportunity to step into that role, I try to go out there and give it our best shot and get people to tune in and see what we’re doing so, yeah, that’s about as much as I can say about it. It was a good time and I look forward to getting back there sooner than later.

On AEW television, Joe has been associated with HOOK. He stopped HOOK from further engaging with The Learning Tree (Chris Jericho, Big Bill & Bryan Keith).
