WWE NXT notes: Jordynne Grace in action, Brooks Jensen teases ‘making an impact’, Karmen Petrovic injured

Kicking off the in-ring action on the night was TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace defeating Stevie Turner. Post-match, she got physical with her opponent at Battleground, NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez. In the backstage area, Grace reunited with Michin. Jaida Parker then entered the frame. Michin and Grace last wrestled at IMPACT Wrestling’s Emergence show in 2022. Grace had interactions with Arianne Grace and Tatum Paxley as well.

Brooks Jensen teased showing up elsewhere. He put out a video on X after he showed up to NXT during the commercial break and was removed by security. The same thing has been happening at house shows. Jensen said he can go anywhere and maybe he’ll ‘make an impact.’

Karmen Petrovic accompanied Natalya to the ring for her match against Izzi Dame. Petrovic had a crutch and Vic Joseph said she was injured over the weekend at a house show. Natalya scored the win over Dame.

There was another Wendy Choo vignette that aired and she is being officially advertised for the 6/11 show. In addition to that, Dante Chen and Lexis King will meet in a Singapore Cane match. Chen has two consecutive victories over King.

To promote Shayna Baszler and Lola Vice’s NXT Underground match at Battleground, a hype package was put together and it featured Josh Barnett and MMA fighters Thiago Alves, Roxanne Modafferi and Hannah Goldy making predictions.

Damon Kemp unsuccessfully challenged Tony D’Angelo for the Heritage Cup. D’Angelo won 2-0.

Rapper Sexyy Red’s appearance(s) on 5/28 generated 21 million views across all WWE social media platforms.

There was a segment with Shawn Spears chatting to younger talents. Two of those in the group were Je’Von Evans and Uriah Connors f.k.a. Brogan Finlay. Spears was confronted by Josh Briggs. Later in the show, Briggs was ambushed by Spears during his entrance. Je’Von saw it happen and he ended up brawling with Spears and getting the better of the veteran.

General Manager Ava had some assistance from Mr. Stone throughout the show.
