AEW presents ‘Follow the Moné’ surprise QR code on Dynamite

AEW’s “CEO” will present a reward during tonight’s episode of Dynamite, per a recent announcement.

AEW posted a message on social media Wednesday announcing a surprise QR Code campaign that will take place during this week’s episode of Dynamite.

“Keep your eye out for a QR code in AEW Dynamite tonight for a surprise from your CEO,” the post stated.

While it’s unclear what exactly “Follow the Moné” is, it has an obvious tie to TBS Champion Mercedes Moné, who made her return to action last month with a win over Willow Nightingale at Double or Nothing. She made her first AEW TV appearance just a few days after, defending her belt against Skye Blue on Dynamite.

QR codes are being used in both top U.S. wrestling promotions at the moment. WWE continues to show codes during broadcasts that lead to vague and ominous web pages, likely teasing a future storyline.

Here’s everything else that is expected to take place as part of Dynamite this week:

  • MJF returns
  • Swerve Strickland vs. Roderick Strong (AEW World Championship)
  • Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) vs. Magnus, Volador Jr., Rugido & Esfinge
  • Mariah May vs. Saraya
