The OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland is hosting WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown on 6/14 and the following day, Glasgow is getting a Premium Live Event as Clash at the Castle will take place at the venue.

Scotland’s own Drew McIntyre is going to be challenging Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at the P.L.E. but the night prior, he’ll be in singles action in a dark match at SmackDown. His opponent will be Sheamus.

As McIntyre is making the media rounds to promote WWE’s upcoming stint in Scotland, he explained to Irish Mirror why he takes people saying he’s currently doing the best work of his career as a backhanded compliment.

There’s a certain line you can’t cross as a good guy, so I understand where people are coming from (when they say I’m currently doing the best work of my career). I think the biggest thing for me is just the point where I said to myself, I’ve been holding back, I need to go all the way. There was a moment about nine months ago where I said I’m not gonna hold back anymore. I’ve just gotta go 100 percent.

Both Sheamus and McIntyre are members of the Monday Night Raw roster. Sheamus suffered a loss to Ludwig Kaiser on the 6/3 program.
