Kelani Jordan emerged as the winner in the six-woman ladder match as NXT Battleground to lift the new NXT North American Women’s Champion.

She defeated Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Fallon Henley, Jaida Parker, and Michin.

There cannot have been many ladder matches held under the WWE banner that were as constrained by space as this PLE opener. The set-up at the UFC Apex meant the ring barricades were only a few feet from the ring.

Nevertheless, the match was well laid out, with some memorable spots, including the other five competitors tossing Lash Legend onto a ladder bridging the ring and the announce desk.

The win came when Jordan took out Michin with a moonsault onto a ladder, leaving her free to climb the ladder and grab the title.
