Iwatani versus Fujimoto.
At Ice Ribbon’s 6/9 show, a video message aired on the venue’s big screen from IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani. It was soon made official that Iwatani is going to be defending the title against Tsukasa Fujimoto.
Back in May, STARDOM hosted a match that saw Mayu and Hanan take on Fujimoto and Arisa Nakajima. After being on the losing end, Iwatani called out Fujimoto for an IWGP Women’s Title bout.
Their match is going to take place at Ice Ribbon’s June 23rd event at Korakuen Hall.
Iwatani has been in possession of the title since April 2023 when she defeated Mercedes Moné. The upcoming defense will be Iwatani’s sixth of her reign.
