AEW Collision ranks fifth on cable, UFC finishes first

AEW Collision ranked fifth among cable originals on Saturday for its live episode from Iowa.
The June 8 episode from Council Bluffs averaged 388,000 viewers and 167,000 (0.13) in the 18-49 demographic, according to Spoiler TV and Wrestlenomics.

Collision’s viewership grew by three percent while the core demo audience increased by 12 percent from last week’s numbers.

The data displayed an 18 percent growth among males 18-49 by averaging 112,000 viewers this week.

Adults 18-34 grew from 46,000 to 53,000 average viewers this week.

Adults 35-49 went from 103,000 to an average of 114,000 viewers this week.

Collision ranked fifth among cable originals, which was led by the UFC Fight Night card on ESPN, which averaged 644,000 viewers and 0.22 in the 18-49 demographic.

In Canada, the UFC main card averaged 51,000 viewers and 44,000 in the 25-54 demographic while the prelims averaged 38,000 and 18,000 in the demo on Sportsnet 360.

Collision was headlined by Orange Cassidy defeating Kyle O’Reilly and opened with a twenty-minute time-limit draw with Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta vs. FTR. 

According to Wrestlenomics, the peak quarter-hour was between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m. ET with a backstage interview involving Shane Taylor Promotions, Samoa Joe & HOOK attacking the Premiere Athletes, Daniel Garcia vs. Taylor Mayfairs, and a video for Stephanie Vaquer averaging 401,000 viewers and 180,000 in the 18-49 demographic.
