Rossy Ogawa is bringing IYO into Marigold.
At the conclusion of Dream Star Fighting Marigold’s Korakuen Hall show, Utami Hayashishita was in the ring after a match with Nanae Takahashi.
Promotion owner Rossy Ogawa directed everyone to the big screen and there was a video message from WWE’s IYO SKY. She threw out the challenge to Utami for a match at Marigold’s Summer Destiny show at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall.
Tokyo Sports provided details surrounding IYO’s upcoming appearance and it is noted in their write-up that her video was filmed after the 6/10 WWE Raw. Ogawa told the outlet that negotiations for this began in March and sped up when him and Giulia visited WWE for WrestleMania XL weekend.
Ogawa said it’s probably because of the connection to Giulia that WWE responded to the request.
IYO worked for Ogawa during her time in STARDOM. After the July 13th Marigold show, WWE is going to be returning to Japan for three shows in late July.
