CM Punk costs Drew McIntyre World Heavyweight Title match at WWE Clash at the Castle

For the second time, Punk costs McIntyre the World Title.

It was at WrestleMania XL that Drew McIntyre won the World Heavyweight Championship and afterwards, he went to taunt CM Punk who was on commentary and that led to Damian Priest cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to become champion.

Priest and McIntyre met in the main event of Clash at the Castle in McIntyre’s home country of Scotland.

The final sequences of the match saw the official be knocked off the ring apron. McIntyre hit Priest with a Claymore and a new official ran down to the ring.

The new official only counted to two and then stopped. The camera panned over to the opposite side and it was CM Punk sporting a referee shirt. McIntyre grabbed Punk up in the corner but was low blowed. Priest followed up by hitting his South of Heaven Chokeslam to retain.
