CM Punk is being advertised for Friday Night SmackDown this week.

The injured performer appeared at Saturday’s Clash at the Castle when he interfered in the World Heavyweight Championship match between Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre, culminating with a kick to the groin of McIntyre and allowing Priest to retain his title.

After, Punk appeared at the press conference and stated he was permitted to skip this week’s episode of Raw in Corpus Christi to go get his check-up and seek clearance on a torn triceps he sustained at the Royal Rumble earlier this year.

Punk added that he was hoping he would receive full clearance and be able to share the news on SmackDown this week in Chicago.

The latest from WrestleTix reports that over 12,400 tickets have been distributed for this Friday’s episode at the Allstate Arena.
