Former UFC champion Israel Adesanya will return to action this August when UFC 305 takes place in Australia.
Dricus du Plessis is set to make the first defense of the Middleweight Championship against former champ Adesanya on Saturday, August 17 at RAC Arena in Perth.

This past January, du Plessis won the championship by defeating Sean Strickland by split decision in a close fight at UFC 297 in Toronto.
Adesanya has not fought since his title loss to Strickland in September 2023 at UFC 293.
Adesanya revealed the fight with UFC CEO Dana White confirming the news while speaking with Jim Rome.
