The next challenger to Trick Williams’ title is Je’Von Evans.
A Battle Royal to determine NXT Champion Trick Williams’ opponent at NXT Heatwave started off the 6/18 NXT on USA Network.
Among those in the Battle Royal were TNA’s Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian. A group of talents ganged up on Hendry and eliminated him early the match. WWE rolled out a backstage segment with Hendry and Shawn Michaels, during which Hendry asked Michaels if it was his idea for him to be piled on. He added that he can show up on any show and all that has to be done is his name has to be said.
Kazarian was eliminated by Je’Von Evans. The final two in the match were Evans and Shawn Spears and it was Evans emerging victorious.
It is now official that on July 7th, Je’Von will challenge Trick Williams for the NXT Championship at Heatwave.
