WWE Raw notes: Uncle Howdy questions Bo Dallas, Liv Morgan to defend title against Zelina Vega, MITB qualifiers

Wyatt Sick6’s Nikki Cross handed a VHS tape to Michael Cole and the tape had ‘play me’ written on it. When the production team got a hold of it, it showed footage of Taylor Rotunda/Bo Dallas talking to Uncle Howdy inside the Firefly Fun House. He asked Rotunda how did it feel when his brother Windham Rotunda a.k.a. Bray Wyatt died. Uncle Howdy followed up on that by asking Taylor if he feels he’s exploiting his brother’s legacy. Taylor said he always wanted to be like his brother, he looked up to him and no one is more hurt about his passing than he is. Taylor added that people wanted to forget about them but ‘we’ made everyone remember. Uncle Howdy agreed that they did make everyone remember.

Liv Morgan’s second defense of the WWE Women’s World Title is taking place on the 7/1 Raw against Zelina Vega.

Pat McAfee was not present for the show in Indianapolis, Indiana. Filling in for him was The Miz. Miz and R-Truth lost the World Tag Team Championships in the main event.

The following bouts are joining the Women’s World Title match on the bill for 7/1:

  • Rey Mysterio vs. Dominik Mysterio
  • Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus vs. Ilja Dragunov
  • Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Zoey Stark vs. Dakota Kai vs. Ivy Nile

Advancing to the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match is Lyra Valkyria. She bested Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane in a Triple Threat to secure her spot.

Drew McIntyre kicked off the show by speaking about his attack on CM Punk on SmackDown. He pulled out the bracelet he took from Punk’s wrist which has his wife A.J. Lee’s name on it as well as their dog Larry’s name. McIntyre called Larry ‘stupid-looking’ and a Larry chant broke out. Drew stated that when he wins Money in the Bank, he’ll be cashing in that night.

Tyrese Haliburton of the NBA’s Indiana Pacers was seated front row. He showed the cameras that he was on FaceTime with WWE United States Champion Logan Paul.
