  • Rush over Komander via Corner Dropkick in 11:49
  • Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher over Private Party via Tombstone in 10:10 
  • Kyle O’Reilly over GPA via Juji Gatame in 1:36
  • Mariah May over Hikaru Shida via Bridging Roll-Up in 11:35

 

Rush vs. Komander

Rampage kicked off with Rush taking on Komander with Don Callis taking Daddy Magic’s place at the commentary table after the attack by MJF on Wednesday. Rush mostly dominated Komander, even shutting down his high-flying attack attempts.

Finally, Komander mounted a comeback even getting a near fall with a big Shooting Star Press and following it up with a Crucifix Bomb.

In the end, Rush emerged victorious after hitting a devastating-looking dropkick to Komander’s head in the corner. After the match, Rush dragged Komander’s lifeless body and dumped it at Don Callis’ feet. Just as Rush exited, Konosuke Takeshita’s music hit and we went right into the next match of the night.

 

Takeshita & Fletcher vs. Private Party

The next match was Don Callis Family members Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher taking on Private Party. Quen and Kassidy had several excellent opportunities to pick up the victory but the Don Callis Family prevailed after Takeshita utilized the Blue Thunder Bomb followed by Fletcher hitting the Tombstone piledriver for the win. 

Rush & Don Callis

Continuing the Don Callis theme of Rampage, Callis threw to a video from earlier this week of him speaking with Rush. 

Undisputed Kingdom Promo

UK cut a backstage promo on The Conglomeration, specifically about Kyle O’Reilly being “bamboozled” by them. Roderick Strong then called out Tomohiro Ishii directly saying that it had been 3059 days since he beat him for the ROH TV Title and he was going to put him down. Strong continued saying that Kyle O’Reilly was better with him.

Kyle O’Reilly vs. GPA

Next up was Kyle O’Reilly taking on GPA with Roderick Strong and Undisputed Kingdom on commentary. O’Reilly wrapped things up quickly after applying the Juji Gatame for the submission victory. After the match, Undisputed Kingdom attempted to celebrate in the ring with Kyle but he stormed off.

Samoa Joe Promo

A Samoa Joe backstage promo aired next, saying he was going to “torture” Chris Jericho next week in Calgary.

Old Timey Promo

An old-timey Timeless Toni Storm Promo aired and it was announced that Toni Storm would face Trish Adora tomorrow on Collision.

Owen Hart Foundation Tournament: Hikaru Shida vs. Mariah May

The Rampage main event saw Hikaru Shida taking on Mariah May for a chance to face Willow Nightingale this coming Wednesday night in Calgary in the Owen Hart Foundation Final. May was dressed in “Outcast colors” as the crowd rallied behind her during this match. 

May hit the Toni Storm hip attack and then went for the Storm Zero but was unable to execute. May picked up the win after countering Shida’s Katana with a bridging pin.

Final Thoughts

Not a super noteworthy Rampage tonight which is somewhat par for the course but as per usual some good matches and some (small) storyline advancement. Mariah May advancing over Hikaru Shida was expected but the pair unsurprisingly had a quality match. Rampage, despite being decent, continues to feel like it needs a shake-up.
