“The Learning Tree” isn’t done teaching lessons.

Chris Jericho seemingly won’t conclude his more than three-decade-long wrestling career anytime soon, as illustrated by recent comments in an interview with McGuire on Wrestling.

After being asked about the recent retirement announcement from John Cena, beginning a more than year-long final stretch for the legendary WWE name, Jericho was questioned about whether he has given any thought about the end of his career.

Jericho, 53, expressed enthusiasm about his current work in AEW and claimed that he doesn’t intend to stop just yet.

“I’ll know when it’s time, you know?” Jericho told McGuire on Wrestling. “I’m really enjoying what I’m doing, I’m still contributing at a high level. I can still have the best match on the show on any given night. Not every night, but any given night. And I just really love what we’re doing with AEW right now, so there’s really no rush on that. When I know, I’ll know. I think that’s kind of the best way to put it. And for right now, I’m having too much fun and enjoying it and really enjoying building AEW. Just five years in, we’re already gone so far and have so much further to go on the highest of levels. So from that standpoint, we’ll see. And as of right now, as long as I’m having fun and enjoying myself and feeling good in the ring and out, there’s no reason to stop.”

Jericho currently holds the FTW Championship, an “outlaw” AEW title which he earned in April with a win over Hook. He has formed a new “Learning Tree” faction in the promotion, settling into the role of mentor for Big Bill and Bryan Keith.

Jericho is expected to appear on this week’s episode of Dynamite in a “Stampede Street Fight” against Samoa Joe.
