Styles versus Marufuji is on the marquee.

Nippon Budokan is playing host to Pro Wrestling NOAH ‘Destination 2024.’ Among the matches that are taking place on the show, one of the bouts will see Naomichi Marufuji clash with WWE’s A.J. Styles

It’ll be Styles’ first match in Japan at a non-WWE event since NJPW New Year Dash in 2016. Going into the bout, the current and nine-time GHC Tag Team Champion was interviewed by Planeta Wrestling. Marufuji added that he’d be interested in sharing the ring with more WWE talents.

He (A.J. Styles) is an all-around great wrestler and one of the best in the world. I want the fans to genuinely enjoy my exchanges during the match with him. And I think we can achieve that.

I am interested in all WWE wrestlers. I want to invite various wrestlers to NOAH’s ring. To compete in the WWE ring, I think I need more training before that, so I can’t say it right now.

As of this writing, Styles versus Marufuji is one of 10 matches on the Destination card and that card is listed as follows:
