AEW Dynamite scores five-week high in viewership, edged out by NXT in 18-49

AEW Dynamite posted its largest figures over the past month while being edged out by NXT in the key demographic.

The July 10 episode from Calgary averaged 691,000 viewers and 309,000 (0.23) in the 18-49 demo, per PW Torch, Programming Insider & Wrestlenomics.

The 18-49 audience grew three percent from last week. In prime time, FS1’s coverage of Uruguay vs. Colombia and the L.A. Dodgers vs. Philadelphia Phillies on ESPN were the only cable programs to rank ahead of Dynamite.

It was Dynamite’s largest viewership and 18-49 audience since June 5.

In the key demo, Dynamite’s male audience dropped by three percent to 178,000 viewers while females increased by 13 percent to 131,000 viewers.

In the 18-34 demographic, Dynamite averaged 129,000 viewers representing an eight percent decline.

NXT edged out Dynamite in the key demo with an average of 311,000 viewers on Tuesday night on the USA Network while Dynamite had a larger overall viewership.

Dynamite averaged 74,000 viewers and 39,000 in the 25-54 demographic on TSN 2 in Canada, which were decreases of 32 and 41 percent respectively from the previous week.
