Mariah won the Owen and left Storm behind.

The main event of the 7/10 AEW Dynamite featured the finals of the women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament. Willow Nightingale took on Mariah May.

May was accompanied to the ring by AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm. There was a point during the match when Stokely Hathaway and Kris Statlander tried to cost Nightingale the match but she made it through that.

Mariah would ultimately go on to win to secure a shot at Storm’s title at All In in London, England. As May and Toni were celebrating on stage, Mariah beat Toni down and left her bloody. She told Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated that it felt like an ‘extra celebration.’ She added that her mother will be front row for their match at the pay-per-view.

That felt like extra celebration for the work I did. That’s what that was (she said about attacking Toni Storm)… My mother will be there at All In. She’ll watch me from the front row as I destroy what’s left of Toni Storm.

Below is the current lineup for All In on August 25th:

  • AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland (c) (w/ Prince Nana) vs. Bryan Danielson
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm (c) (w/ Luther) vs. Mariah May
