Rousey is really happy for the women of WWE being equally represented.

As Ronda Rousey is making the media rounds to promote her new graphic novel, she chatted with Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports

Among the topics they touched on was the new regime that is in place at WWE after Vince McMahon’s resignation due to Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit that she filed against him, WWE and John Laurinaitis. Rousey feels anyone is better at leading the charge than McMahon. She added that there was no place else to go from that point but up.

Well, I think anyone’s better than Vince McMahon (to lead WWE). The only place you can go is up, and I really enjoy Triple H and working with him and honestly, I haven’t been watching but I saw something from Nattie saying that they had a card recently that had just as many women on it as the men and that’s just what I would really like to see is the women equally represented with not just matches on the card but the time on the show and so, there’s no place they could go but up and I’m really, really happy for all the women that are still there and thriving under the new regime.

She further heaped praise onto Paul Heyman and the impact he’s had on her. Rousey called him the backbone of the pro wrestling industry.

Oh God, I mean, I feel like he’s (Paul Heyman) the absolute backbone of that entire industry. People don’t see the backbone. It is hidden underneath the body but he’s literally everyone’s mentor and every successful storyline has its roots back into him and I think that the industry would be a shell of itself without him and they should feel so lucky to have his time because he could be spending that genius on anything else, but he spends 100 percent of his time and energy on the WWE and he is the person that encouraged me creatively, that really believed that I am so much more than just what my body can do…

The aforementioned sex trafficking lawsuit was put on a six-month pause due to a pending investigation by the Department of Justice.
