WWE’s IYO SKY faced Utami Hayashishita in the semi-main event of Marigold’s Summer Destiny event on Saturday.
It was SKY who would emerge the winner in a highly competitive 23-minute match, eventually pinning Hayashishita after a moonsault press.
In the main event, Sareee defeated Giulia, who is departing for the WWE, to become the first Marigold World Champion.
Miku Aono defeated MIRAI to become the inaugural United National Champion.
Earlier in the show, Marigold announced its first summer singles tournament, named the DREAM✴︎STAR GP. The tournament will get underway on August 31st at the Edion Arena in Osaka.
