Perez’s next title defense is set up.
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez took to the ring on the 7/16 program and spoke about her accolades and where she’ll be in the future. She mentioned that she’s on track to break records that were set by the likes of Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Asuka.
She then went on to name-drop Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer. Vaquer made her WWE in-ring debut over the weekend at a house show in Mexico City.
This led to Perez stating that she found it funny that Thea Hail is her next opponent. She’ll be defending the title against her at Great American Bash. The TV special is a two-night event starting July 30th and wrapping up on August 6th.
The segment with Perez and Hail ended with Hail locking her in a submission but Ridge Holland pulled her off.
Afterwards, Women’s North American Champion Kelani Jordan mentioned Giulia and Vaquer as well.
