Legendary wrestler Meiko Satomura will return to the ring when WWE heads to Japan later this month.
Satomura has been added to a trio of dates for the promotion’s trip next week, per a post from her on Wednesday.
The bookings will mark Satomura’s first WWE in-ring appearance in more than a year. The experienced Japanese talent has been on the promotion’s roster since 2020, competing on their NXT brands and working as a coach.
Her last match in NXT dates back to Roadblock 2023 when she lost in just under 14 minutes to women’s champion Roxanne Perez. She has worked one bout outside of the promotion since then, teaming with Takumi Iroha to overcome Chihiro Hashimoto and Yuu on Fortune Dream 9 in Tokyo.
Satomura is among a few Japanese talents who will be performing in front of their home country from July 25 to 27. Also announced for the show are Damage CTRL’s Iyo Sky, Asuka, and Kairi Sane, as well as men’s talent Shinsuke Nakamura.
