25 years of Tanahashi.
Scheduled for October 14th, 2024 is New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s King of Pro-Wrestling event. It is taking place at Ryōgoku Sumo Hall.
NJPW announced that the event will feature a match to commemorate 25 years since the debut of company President, Hiroshi Tanahashi. There will be 25th anniversary merchandise on sale as well.
Tanahashi’s first match happened in 1999 on October 10th. He wrestled Togi Makabe at Korakuen Hall.
He is one-third of the reigning NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Champions and an eight-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion.
