The TNA World Tag Team Championships were on the line as The System’s Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards defended against The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy). The match was thrown out when J.D.C. (Johnny Dango Curtis) pushed Jeff off the top rope. He proceeded to wrap a chair around Jeff’s neck and threw him into a ring post and guardrail. Later on, Reby Hardy was ambushed backstage and said J.D.C. did it. He was in singles action as well and faced Mike Santana. Santana was disqualified after taking a chair to JDC’s back. Matt will face J.D.C. at Slammiversary

Musician Lars Fredericksen bid farewell to the duo known as Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat). He was managing the team, but is sending them out on their own as they challenge for the Knockouts World Tag Titles at Slammiversary.

TNA X Division Champion Mustafa Ali made another attempt at getting out of his title defense against ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey at Slammiversary. Santino Marella, who serves as the on-screen authority figure, told Ali that if he no-shows, he’ll be stripped of the title and fired from the company.
