Myron Reed discusses The Rascalz reunion on WWE NXT, says it made his eyes water

Reed is happy for his brothers.

On WWE NXT programming, The Rascalz (Wes Lee, Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) reunited and the trio were able to team together once again. That is carrying over to TNA Wrestling as they’ll be in trios action at Slammiversary.

Fellow member of The Rascalz, Myron Reed, commented on the group reunion as he was being interviewed by Irish Wrestling & Entertainment. Reed stated that it made him emotional and in regards to him being a part of it, he said if they need him, they’ll call him.

So yeah, when I seen them (The Rascalz) come out (on NXT), I seen my eyes like watering up. It’s a really cool experience just to know that pretty much what both of them went through, you know? Because while they were going through it, I’m the one talking to them. They’re talking to each other. It’s just like, it’s a lot of going through sh*t and finally making it to where you deserve to be at; was really cool to see and as far as like, I wish I was there too type thing, of course I wish I was there but I know that everything that they’re doing right now, they got it under control and if they need me, they’ll call me. But yeah, I’m really happy for them. Like I said, I’m the youngest one and I got time, I got time and I’m just growing so, when my time does come, I’m ready.

In IMPACT/TNA, Reed has reunited with Miguel and Wentz on several occasions. Here’s what he had to say about those moments:

I was just really excited to get to team with my brothers again (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz in IMPACT/TNA). Like I said, I went with MLW and we had done like a couple indie tag teams but we hadn’t really got on like we were. We wanted to get on together at some point and that moment in TNA was really cool. The Bound For Glory thing was awesome too because you know, a big weekend, a lot of eyes on it.

He looked back at the time period of their careers when Lee, Miguel and Wentz began to venture to TNA while Reed went his own route in the form of MLW.

Whenever I seen all of those guys (The Rascalz) getting signed to TNA and they was just happening one after the other, you know? And they were killing things and I was just like, ‘Man, I don’t wanna get lost in the shuffle. I wanna be my own man, I wanna go somewhere and shine myself and see if I can do it without the help of my brothers.’ I chose the route of MLW and it was fun and it worked out for me. I got to do a lot of cool things there.

Reed spent nearly five years with MLW and held their World Middleweight Championship on three occasions. He is currently a free agent and said if he’s going to sign another contract in wrestling, it has to be worth it.

Honestly, we’re just very fortunate (in this generation to be able to support ourselves via the indies)… I feel like back in the territory days, you couldn’t really do this stuff but now, wrestling is for everyone and the contracts and all this stuff are allowing us to go out there and still make money and go out there and get more exposure and experience on top of what we’re already getting with the company so, for me it’s more like, I have a goal. I want to go to a place that I’m able to take care of my family and enjoy what I’m doing and challenge myself at the same time and not give myself the short end of the stick. So, if I’m gonna sign anywhere, it’s gotta be worth it. I don’t wanna just sell my soul pretty much to not really get what it’s worth, you know what I mean?

Myron is 27 years of age and has been wrestling for eight years. He competed for Game Changer Wrestling on back-to-back nights on 7/18 and 7/19. He wrestled Sidney Akeem a.k.a. SCRYPTS and challenged for the GCW World Title.
