Alex Shelley gave an apparent farewell speech at an independent wrestling show on Saturday night.

After a defeat by Alpha Zo in San Francisco, CA, Shelley remained in the ring by himself. He took to the mic and spoke to the fans in attendance:

Spoiler alert, I might not come back here. And if I don’t, I know the future of pro wrestling is safe and sound inside a West Coast Pro ring. I’ve talked too long, and the last thing I wanna say is thank you so much for the past two and a half years.

Shelley had just wrestled the opening match of the ‘Untouchable’ show, co-promoted by West Coast Pro, Prestige, and Deadlock Pro.

In early April, PWInsider reported that Shelley and his Motor City Machine Guns partner Chris Sabin were out of contract after their stint with TNA.

Dave Meltzer reported in the past week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter (subscription required) that the tag team is most likely bound for WWE NXT.
