He claims a legend ‘sh*t on him.’
Prior to being on a per appearance deal with AEW/ROH from 2022-2024, there were a handful of occasions when Slim J worked dates for Ring of Honor when it was owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group.
He called those experiences ’embarrassing’ and expanded on that comment as he appeared on Jaddition’s Talking Indys series. He brought up the name ‘Gladiator’ and he wrestled for ROH as Gladiator Jeremiah in 2018, 2017 and 2015. Slim also mentioned that there was a legend who ‘sh*t’ on him while he was there.
It (most embarrassing moment) would probably be Ring of Honor, how they treated me. Years ago. This is an embarrassment of how I got treated, because I just didn’t get respect and I was doing jobs to people and then I tried to get certain things in. I remember right after the match, one of the last times before, I think it was Sinclair (Broadcast Group) who owned it at the time, before Tony Khan bought it, I just rolled right out of the ring after the match. Got my sh*t, punched the wall one time and left. So it was embarrassing in general, just as a person. I’m not gonna say the legend’s name but, to have a legend sh*t on you in your own town when you’ve been building for years upon years and years and then just say, ‘You’re just a local guy, right?’ Yeah, I’m local but I’m not just a — ‘You give this man a suplex? You!? You’re telling me a gladiator does high-flying?’ Why the hell would he not? Let me suplex your fat-ass right now. That’s what I was thinking in my head… I am in shape. You are a shape. You’re not working hard so it was very offensive, and the people that really know me know who I’m talking about. But if you don’t, write me, I’ll tell you (he laughed).
This past April, Slim J was let go from AEW/ROH. His last match for the company was at an ROH on HonorClub taping in March.
