Ariane Andrew remembers being told she would replace Brandi Rhodes as WWE NXT ring announcer

She was told this prior to her main roster call-up.

A new interview with Ariane Andrew was pushed out by The A2theK Wrestling Show. As the two parties were discussing Andrew’s time as a member of The Funkadactyls with Naomi, she shared that there was a ring announcer role that was presented to her.

Before her call-up to be part of the team with Naomi, Ariane was told that she would be replacing Brandi Rhodes as the ring announcer in NXT.

I was like, ‘What?’ (when first informed about The Funkadactyls idea) Because initially, I had been told that I was gonna be replacing Brandi (Rhodes) because she was getting called up and I was like, ‘Announcing? When have I done that? Okay… But okay, cool.’ Then they were like, ‘To be a Funkadactyl and dance…’

Ariane is a co-founder of the Pound Town Pro Wrestling promotion that is based in West Hollywood, California. Their most recent show was in October 2023.
