He’ll be gone from the promotion when his deal expires.

DDT Pro-Wrestling held a press conference on 7/24 and it was there that Makoto Oishi informed the public that he’ll be leaving DDT when his contract expires on October 3rd, 2024. His last match as a contracted talent is scheduled to take place on 10/3.

He shared that his wife’s father passed away and after conversations with her, they’ve considered moving to Sendai. His wife’s hometown is in Miyagi and they purchased a house there. Oishi’s family lives there as well and he lives alone in Tokyo.

He added that his son is almost three years old, his oldest child is turning five and he wants to be with his family.

In addition to being an in-ring performer for DDT, he’s contracted behind the scenes as he drives the promotion’s tour bus. Oishi will continue as a freelance wrestler in Sendai and DDT’s General Manager noted that they’ll call him ‘for sure.’
