He shared that AEW’s ringside physician does not want him wrestling before All In.

One of the advertised marquee matches for AEW All In at Wembley Stadium is Swerve Strickland defending the AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson.

In May, Danielson revealed that his contract with AEW expires before All In. The company released a sit-down interview that Renee Paquette did with Bryan and he said the exact expiration date is August 1st.

That’s true (that my AEW contract is up in August). Well, August 1st actually. Next Thursday. My wrestling contract is up, which also happens to be my son’s fourth birthday.

I’m not saying this — Tony (Khan) talked about this in an interview so I feel comfortable talking about it. I’m not MJF’ing this and being like, trying to use my contract being up and being like, ‘Oh! I’m gonna get all the money. Somebody give me all the money!’ Yeah, my contract is up August 1st. When I signed this contract, me and Brie (Garcia), we talked about how this would be the last wrestling contract I was gonna sign… Part of me is wondering what life is like after this. Part of me is excited about that. But, right now, even though Wembley is after this, I still have to focus on that, right? That’s gotta be kind of my focus and so, yeah… It’s a wild time.

As of this writing, there are four weeks left until All In. Danielson shared that AEW ringside physician Michael J. Sampson does not want him wrestling until the pay-per-view.

I guess the bigger thing is that Doc Sampson doesn’t want me to wrestle until Wembley and that’s actually the harder part. The part of, ‘What do you mean? I’m here in Nashville!’ That sort of thing so…

Even talking to Doc Sampson, there’s like, ‘I gotta go hard, I gotta do this’ and he’s like, ‘Listen, right now, your neck is fixable. Better make sure that it stays fixable…’

AEW President Tony Khan made the media rounds and expressed that he wants Danielson to remain a part of the company for the rest of his life.
