The ROH World Tag Team Titles will be up for grabs at Death Before Dishonor on Friday.
Champions Mike Bennett & Matt Taven are to defend against Tomohiro Ishii & Kyle O’Reilly.
The news of the match came from Paul Wight who has joined the Ring of Honor ‘Board of Directors’.
In a backstage segment on Thursday night’s episode of ROH on HonorClub, Lexy Nair interviewed Bennett & Taven of the Undisputed Kingdom.
When they were asked about the lack of a match at the Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the pair said they were grateful for a night off. Taven said:
We’re taking the day off. We’ve been at every show for nine months. Dynamite, Collision, Rampage, Ring of Honor, we are always here. And what a day it will be that TK will finally give us the day off. Please, TK, you’re the best boss ever, because Roderick Strong is about to win the Ring of Honor —
At this point, Paul Wight walked into shot and told the champions he had good news and bad news:
Good news is Tony Khan has disappointed me to the Board of Directors for Ring of Honor. And the bad news is Tony Khan and I have seen some of the shenanigans you guys have been running back here. So unfortunately for you, you will be defending those Ring of Honor championships this Friday at Death Before Dishonor against Ishii and O’Reilly.
Will @MattTaven & @RealMikeBennett defend their #ROH World Tag Team Titles at Death Before Dishonor? Or will they have the day off?

Bennett and Taven then complained that Ishii was not “neck strong” and that O’Reilly was their friend.
