MJF appeared via video at a RevPro show on Sunday to announce he will defend his AEW American Championship against Michael Oku.

The match is billed for RevPro Summer Sizzler 2024, which is set for August 11th at York Hall, London. The event is two weeks before AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.

During Sunday’s show in Coventry, MJF appeared on screen to deliver his message to the RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion. After directing the camera to shoot his title, and then his face, MJF said:

See what that is? That is American perfection, which is the only thing we are capable of. Sheer perfection.

Michael Oku. Will Ospreay, you earned his respect, which means you have my undying hatred. You are the scum of the earth. You are disgusting. You are scrawny. You are indie trash. And you hail, let’s face it, from the worst country in the entire world. A third-world country, if we’re being honest.

Now, I gotta be keeping it real with you, bro. All I have are people in my ear telling me that I’m being disrespectful to the people of the UK. But why should I care? I remember the Boston Tea Party. I remember what your people tried to do to mine, but we fought back and I’m ready to fight back, Michael Oku. I am ready to take you out and prove a point that everybody from UK — hell, everybody from Europe — is a bum.

That’s why you guys lost the Euro Cup, isn’t it? ‘Cause you’re all spineless, worthless, yellow-bellied, weird, crooked-having-teeth dorks.

So, Michael Oku, I’ve got a challenge for you. It is the opportunity of a lifetime to face the greatest wrestler on God’s green earth. August 11th, I am willing to put my American championship — God, I love this thing — on the line to prove, once and for all, that America is number one. My name is Maxwell Jacob Friedman. I am your American hero and, Michael Oku, for this incredible opportunity, your scrawny little ass can thank me later.
