John Cena is set to appear on “The Simpsons” in the next season.

Creator Matt Groening and showrunner Matt Selman were part of a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con and spoke about the series’ season premiere, which will be titled “Bart’s Birthday” and featuring cameos by Cena, Tom Hanks, Conan O’Brien, and Danny DeVito.

The season premiere is listed for a September 8 air date on Fox with Jessica Conrad listed as the writer of the episode.

Cena appeared at WWE’s Money in the Bank in Toronto earlier this month to announce his retirement tour in 2025, which will run through the end of the year.

The performer noted at the press conference after Money in the Bank that he was in the middle of filming season two of Peacemaker.

Cena also appeared in one episode of the latest season of The Bear on FX.
