The G1 Climax held its second event in Fukuoka on Monday as the A Block included a rematch of the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 18.

The show was headlined by IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito pinning SANADA after a pair of Destinos.

The two exchanged multiple counters with the ending sequence including Naito preventing Deadfall and hit a rough-looking Destino and a stronger follow-up for the pin after 17:45.

The win puts Naito in the middle of the block with four points as he secured his second win of the tournament and SANADA remains with four.

Gabe Kidd moved up to six points by beating Shingo Takagi with a headbutt and two piledrivers. Kidd offered his hand to Takagi, and they shook hands, but Kidd attacked the LIJ member. The audience was fully on board and ready to accept Kidd in a babyface light before it was yanked away.

Zack Sabre Jr. lost his first match of the G1 when Shota Umino won with a variant of the Emerald Flowsion and hit the Death Rider. Umino improved his record to 3-2 while ZSJ fell to 4-1.

Great O-Khan picked up his first two points defeating Jake Lee with the Eliminator.

EVIL has sole possession of first place in the A Block after beating Callum Newman with the assistance of the exposed turnbuckle and moving to 5-0 with ten points.

Monday’s show was the third G1 show in as many nights and the tour resumes on Wednesday.
