Britt Baker reportedly suspended and fined after backstage altercation with MJF

Several outlets, including the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, reported that AEW’s Britt Baker has been serving a one or two-week suspension after an altercation with MJF backstage at AEW Dynamite 250 on July 17th.

Details are scant but the reporting states that Baker spoke out against MJF in the women’s locker room in front of his partner, Alicia Atout. This ultimately led to a confrontation between MJF and Baker. It is not known why MJF was not disciplined for his part in the matter.

Jimmy Uso returning “soon” says Jey

Jey Uso appeared on The Masked Man Show as part of SummerSlam promotion. During the interview, he said that his twin, Jimmy, would be returning soon:

He started shining on SmackDown for a little bit, then he got hurt. I’m excited to see his character back on TV.

Jimmy has not competed since losing to Jey at WrestleMania 40.

Michael Cole signs new contract with WWE

Michael Cole conducted an interview with The Ringer that was published on Friday. The long-form piece includes much praise for the veteran announcer from top talent and Paul Levesque.

The article states that Cole, real name Sean Michael Coulthard, signed a new contract in the spring that will see him remain the voice of WWE “for the foreseeable future.”

He mentioned the recent changes in his announcing style:

The last three years, Sean Coulthard, … that’s who you’re seeing. That personality I’m bringing out now is who I really am. I’m bombastic. I’m sarcastic. I’m a prick. But I’m also a hell of a good broadcaster.
