A new U.S. Champion in WWE.
The third match on the WWE SummerSlam card was Logan Paul defending the United States Championship against L.A. Knight.
Grammy-nominated musician M.G.K. (Machine Gun Kelly) accompanied Paul to the ring. Both M.G.K. and Paul grew up in suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio which is hosting the 2024 SummerSlam PLE.
Towards the end of the match, Knight pulled two members of Paul’s entourage over the barricade as they were trash talking him. M.G.K. then handed Paul brass knuckles and he used it on Knight, but when Paul went for his slingshot lariat, Knight countered into the B.F.T. to secure the win and the U.S. Title.
Paul had been in possession of the title since November 2023 when he won it from Rey Mysterio. The United States Championship is Knight’s first title win on the main roster.
