The 2024 G1 Climax resumed on Saturday with a return to Osaka for A Block action.
The main event featured Shingo Takagi and Zack Sabre Jr.
Takagi got the better of the Brit after a 16-minute match with the Last of the Dragon.
ZSJ remains on 8 points, while Takagi joins a crowded 6-point club.
Earlier, EVIL was handed his first defeat of the tournament by Great-O-Khan in a match filled with House of Torture shenanigans courtesy of Dick Togo. Despite this, O-Khan was eventually able to hit The Eliminator for the win. O-Khan advances to 4 points, while EVIL remains atop the block on 10 points.
SANADA defeated Shota Umino in a competitive 16-minute match with an eventual counter of the Death Rider into an O’Connor Bridge. SANADA joins Umino in the 6-point field.
IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Naito got the better of Gabe Kidd with a small package to join Kidd on 6 points.
The opening tournament match saw Jake Lee defeat Callum Newman for his second win of the competition. Lee advances to 4 points, the same total as Newman.
The tournament resumes on Sunday with B Block action at the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium.
