An update on Dakota Kai.

There was a number one contender’s tag match on the 8/12 Raw that saw Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Kairi Sane) taking on Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark.

As Stark, Baszler and Sonya Deville were making their way to the ring, commentator Michael Cole revealed that Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai suffered a torn meniscus and will be out of action for 8-10 weeks. He added that she’ll be undergoing surgery.

Kai’s injury is being accredited to Sonya Deville, who ambushed her prior to their match on 8/5. Kai did not wrestle in said match and Kairi Sane filled in for her.

Kai was last in action on 7/27 at WWE’s house show in Japan.
