WWE Raw notes: Bron Breakker retains IC Title over Sami Zayn, Women’s Tag Title bout, Oba Femi/Otis

In the main event of the program, Bron Breakker bested Sami Zayn in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match with a 2-1 score to retain his Intercontinental Championship.

Women’s Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre interfered in a number one contender’s tag match between Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark and Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Kairi Sane). As a result of the match being thrown out, Fyre and Dawn will defend the titles in a Triple Threat tag match on 8/19.

NXT North American Champion Oba Femi was front row and he exchanged words with Otis. Femi has an open challenge scheduled for the 8/13 NXT on USA Network. Femi was in action prior to Raw for a Main Event taping and he defeated Dante Chen.

During The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) versus Akira Tozawa and Otis, Ivy Nile ambushed Maxxine Dupri at ringside. The Creeds scored the win in the match. Earlier in the night, Maxxine told Nile that she was sticking beside Tozawa and Otis.

Odyssey Jones scored a win over Performance Center recruit Vincent Winey. It was Jones’ first WWE TV match since April 2023. Afterwards, The Final Testament (Karrion Kross, Akam, Rezar, Scarlett & Paul Ellering) came out and Kross stated that everyone thinks Kofi Kingston inserted Jones into the picture to fill Big E’s spot, but he’s there to replace Xavier Woods. Woods suggested that him and Kingston take on The Final Testament but Kofi took the microphone and proposed the idea of Kross, Rezar and Akam versus himself, Woods and Odyssey Jones for 8/19.

A new segment aired called ‘Raw Physics’ and Bronson Reed was spotlighted. Later in the night, Reed defeated The Miz and then repeatedly hit the Tsunami finisher onto R-Truth.

Adding on to the schedule for the 8/19 program is Sheamus versus Pete Dunne.

At Fanatics Fest N.Y.C. on 8/17, there will be a special entrance from Rey Mysterio and a ‘special guest partner.’
